    Bakcell, The First Mobile Operator of Azerbaijan, and Junior Achievement Azerbaijan (JAA) presented certificates to 15 successful graduates of the Student Internship Program. The initiative is a part of the Introduction to Mobile Telecommunications Business Program (IMTB) supported by Bakcell and implemented by Junior Achievement Azerbaijan in partnership with Alcatel-Lucent Azerbaijan. Mr. Richard Shearer, CEO of Bakcell congratulated the students on successful completion of the Job Shadow Program and wished them good luck in their education and future career. “We want young people to know more about the telecoms business. The internship program at Bakcell is a unique opportunity for the students to observe how a mobile telecommunication company operates”, he said. Mr. Rashad Khanlarov thanked Bakcell on behalf of the students for this unique opportunity to get hands-on experience at the company: “Throughout the internship at Bakcell, the participants learned the structure of the company, career opportunities, and most importantly, the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain various jobs. Mentored by the representatives of Bakcell, the students solved business tasks and thus immersed into corporate culture. As a result, the students are now better prepared to make informed career decisions." 45 students representing Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Qafqaz and Khazar Universities were selected to participate in the program. The students learned work-readiness skills and ethics at the work place, and participated in training program on the mobile telecommunications business. The training was based on a unique resource developed by Bakcell, Alcatel-Lucent, and JA Azerbaijan that provides a closer look at the work of the mobile telecommunications company. The most successful 15 students won the opportunity to participate in the intensive Job Shadow Program at Bakcell to explore career opportunities in the telecommunication business.
